It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

What We Do

Bodymind Teaching helps educators understand and work with the internal state required for learning. We translate research and classroom practice into practical tools that support attention, regulation, and readiness. Our work includes professional learning, consulting, and teacher-facing resources, including a forthcoming book and training modules. By focusing on the conditions that make learning possible, we help teachers create classrooms that are more focused, responsive, and effective.

Who We Serve

We support educators, school leaders, and learning communities who recognize that student performance is not only about skill or instruction, but also about readiness to learn. Our approach is especially relevant in classrooms serving students with diverse learning profiles, including ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning challenges, twice-exceptional learners, and sensory or social-pragmatic differences. We help educators respond to these differences in ways that are structured, practical, and sustainable.

Why We Practice

We believe learning is shaped by a student’s internal state. When attention is scattered or the nervous system is overwhelmed, even strong instruction cannot be fully accessed. Research supports this connection between regulation, attention, and learning, but the implications for classroom practice are often underdeveloped. Our work focuses on closing that gap by giving educators clear ways to support readiness, so students can engage more consistently, confidently, and effectively.
